Happy Birthday, President Obama

President Obama is one of the youngest and most vibrant Presidents the United States has ever had. He turns 51 today.

I’m on the “Obama for America” email list. I got an email today asking to sign his B-Day card:

One of the things I greatly admire about Barack Obama is that he is a devoted family man.

For many philosophical and economic reasons, I’m not a supporter for the reelection of the President.

So, despite figuring this email was only a cheap political ploy to brag about all the millions of Americans who banded together to say “Happy Birthday” to the President… as a show of respect and to show support for family values I decided to sign it anyway.

When I clicked the link, this is what I got:

I entered $0 in the “Other amount” box, but that was not accepted.

Now… maybe I got added to the list, maybe not… but as an American I considered it the ultimate insult to be asked to pay a minimum of $15 to say “Happy Birthday” to the President of the United States.
